Harvard is the most famous learning institution in the world ; in this environment, the film student is challenged to achieve at the highest level.

Our programs

NYFA propose the following types of programs

FILM Camp(including class instruction and on-set production)

Students write, shoot, direct and edit their own films. Our film camps are designed for people with little or no experience in making films. The programs focus on the fundamental elements of visual storytelling that enable the participants to direct their own projects.

Students are immersed in an intensive, professional educational experience, combining fun, experiential, interactive workshops with direct, hands-on acting in front of the camera.

An intensive exploration of photography in the digital age.

4-Week 3D ANIMATION Camp

3D Topics:

Animation Topics:

  • Weight and secondary action
  • Squash and stretch
  • Rubber hose, full, and limited animation
  • Character design
  • Exaggeration vs. subtlety
  • Doping sound and lip sync
  • Sound-image relationship

Students in the 3D Computer Animation Camp write, animate, direct and edit their own computer animated short films, learning the principles of animation (i.e. movement, timing, weight, character development, etc...).

Dormitory

Students reside in a dormitory; dine and lessons halls are located just 10 minutes from the dormitory, inside the campus.

Our activities

Saturday activities, including day long trips, are mandatory ; Counselors attend and supervise these outings

Extra-Curricular Activities:

Although the camp's daily schedule is demanding, students may take part in organized activities and enjoy excurions.
 

Supervision:

Students spend the majority of their day in class and/ or on shoots on campus with their instructors or teaching assistants.
