Our programs

A wide range of courses: group classes, one-on-one classes, standard French and/or courses suited to specific needs, exams preparation, etc… with high qualified teachers in multicultural classes. Activities, sporting and cultural excursions are available to enjoy and experience the French lifestyle during the free time.

Standard course

  • General-purpose language for all levels.
  • 15 hours a week from 9 a.m. to 12, Monday to Friday.
  • Up to 12 students in a group. 30 hours over 2 weeks.

General French in order to:

  • improve your communication skills with focus on the spoken language.
  • make rapid progress thanks to role-playing and situational games, structured conversations, and also due to attractive and user-friendly methods for acquiring grammar.

Intensive summer course

  • General French for all levels. 40 hours of class over 2 weeks.
  • 20 hours of class per week - 9 a.m. to 12 a.m., Monday to Friday, and from 1.30 to 4 p.m., Mondays and Wednesdays.
  • Groups of up to 15 students.

General French in order to:

  • improve your communication skills with focus on the spoken language.
  • make rapid progress thanks to role-playing and situational games, structured conversations, and also due to attractive and user-friendly methods for acquiring grammar.

Evening course

  • General French for all levels.
  • Cycles of 49 hours over 2 months from 6.15 to 8.15 p.m.
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays and 5 Saturdays each cycle from 9 to 12 a.m.
  • Up to 12 students per group.

Evening classes provide an opportunity to meet other foreign people living in Strasbourg, including professionals working in companies, European organizations, students studying for their doctorate, au pair girls, etc.

One-to-one lessons

Meeting special working needs in the least possible time with the most possible flexibility.

Writing correct French " Optional "

  • Up to 12 persons per group (a minimum of 5 persons).

Revision of basic spelling rules in French. Full description on request (in French).

General writing skills " Optional "

  • Entry level: CECR B2-C1.

Organising and structuring a text according to a specific methodology; writing types of texts according to students’ needs: making notes, writing a summary, an essay...

Our accomodation

CIEL propose the following types of accomodations

Host Home

The families can welcome you at the train station or at the airport from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM if you inform them at least 48 hours before your arrival. During the summer, if you wish to be accommodated in a host family, please send your registration form at least three weeks before the beginning of the courses.

Option 1 :

  • Single room + half board; 28 €
  • Single room + breakfast only; 400 €
  • Single room without meals; 380 €
Private Residence

Located in the city center in a pedestrian area, 15 minutes from the school if you take the tramway. Single rooms with an adjacent shower room. The sheets are provided and changed every two weeks. Additional change of sheets on demand.

Option 2:

  • Single room with breakfast : 18,53 € per night.
  • Single room with half-board : 25,87 € per night.
Studios

Located 30 min from the city centre in tramway. Only the sheets and blankets are provided.

Option 3 :

  • around 415 EUR
University Halls of Residence

In town, 15 min. from the CIEL in tramway. Small studios with individual shower, washbasin and toilet, refrigerator in the room. Only the sheets and blankets are provided. Collective kitchen on the floor. Arrival on Sunday, departure on Friday.

Option 4:

  • 225 EUR for 2 weeks
  • 360 EUR for 4 weeks
