Our programs

A wide range of courses: group classes, one-on-one classes, standard and specialized lessons to suit specific needs, exams preparation, etc… with high qualified teachers in multicultural classes. Activities, sporting and cultural excursions are available to enjoy the free time.

 

General English course

  • 20 lessons (15 hours) of 45 minutes each in group of 15 students maximum.

Develop your language skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking), improve your knowledge of grammar and learn how to use it in practice. Every Monday (or the first Monday of the month if you are a beginner).

General Englishin mini groups

  • 20 lessons (15 hours) of English lessons per week, in group of 6 students, with special focus on Business purposes.

The course will help you become a confident speaker of English and will maximize your ability to use English in everyday situations. The smaller class size allows greater personal attention and can help you develop your skills faster.

Intensive English course

30 lessons (22.5 hours) of English lessons per week, in two parts:
  • 20 lessons (15 hours) of General English
  • 10 further lessons (7.5 hours) of communication skills, which may be with different students

Intensive English is a group course which is ideal for learning everyday English with an emphasis on fluent communication and practical language skills. The additional 10 afternoon lessons each week will give you the opportunity to put into practice the new language learnt in the General English Course.

Intensive Englishin mini groups

30 lessons (22.5 hours) of English lessons per week, in two parts:
  • 20 lessons (15 hours) of General English
  • 10 further lessons (7.5 hours) of communication skills, which may be with different students in classes of 6 students, to allow grater personal attention and develop skills faster

A ‘mini group’ course with a small class size of up to 6 students. The course will help you become a confident speaker of English and will maximize your ability to use English in everyday situations. You can join the course every Monday (or the first Monday of the month if you are a beginner). 

General English + Business

30 lessons (22.5 hours) of English lessons per week, in two parts:
  • 20 lessons (15 hours) of General English in classes of no more than 12 or 15 students
  • 10 further lessons (7.5 hours) of Intensive Business English conversation in classes of 6 students

Combines General English with Business English. This course is ideal if you want a mix of everyday English and to develop your specialist Business English language. A minimum level of B1 (Intermediate) is required for this course. 

General English + Business in mini groups

30 lessons (22.5 hours) of English lessons per week, in two parts:
  • 20 lessons (15 hours) of General English in classes of no more than 12 or 15 students
  • 10 further lessons (7.5 hours) of Intensive Business English conversation in classes of 6 students

This course is designed to promote confidence among the students when in a business situation, or when needing to use English for professional, business purposes. The smaller class size is designed to allow the teacher to provide a degree of individual help to the students.

Business English in mini group

  • 20 lessons (15 hours) of English lessons per week, in group of 6 students, with special focus on Business purposes.

Premium Intensive Business in mini groups

30 lessons (22.5 hours) per week in two parts, both in groups of 6 students, in two parts:
  • 20 lessons  (15 hours) of General English
  • 10 lessons (7.5 hours) per week of additional Intensive Business conversation classes

Suitable if you already have a working knowledge of English and want to extend your business vocabulary and develop your English language for your workplace and your professional life, with extra communication practice. Ideal for company-sponsored students. Minimum level required B1.

Private Business

from 2 to 30 one-to-one lessons per week (up to 22.5 hours per week)

Suitable to work on a particular area of your interest or concentrate on some of your weaknesses or special needs. Lessons are 45-minute sessions and can be scheduled flexibly

FCE Cambridge Exam Preparation course

  • 30 lessons (22.5 hours) of English lessons per week, in group of 10 students

 

A preparation for the FCE exam, lessons dedicated to all 5 exam papers: Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking and Use of English. Minimum level required B1

CAE Cambridge Exam Preparation course

  • 30 lessons (22.5 hours) of English lessons per week, in group of 10 students

 

An intensive course for students who have already achieved B2 level (or C1 if you wish to go for a 4 week course). The course will provide you with a thorough preparation for the CAE exam. The lessons will be dedicated to all 5 exam papers: Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking and Use of English. You will need an F1 visa in order to take this course.

CPE Cambridge Exam Preparation course

  • 30 lessons (22.5 hours) of English lessons per week, in group of 10 students

CPE is the most advanced of the Cambridge exams, designed for learners who have achieved an extremely high level of skill in the English language. You can join this course if you have passed CAE and/or your level is C1 (or C2 if you wish to go for a 4 week course). You will need an F1 visa in order to take this course.

IELTS Exam Preparation course

30 lessons (22.5 hours) per week, in two parts:
  • 20 lessons (15 hours) of General English in classes of no more than 12 students
  • 10 lesson (7.5 hours) of IELTS preparation in classes of up to 6 students

A formal IELTS test at the end of the course will be delivered to students who took the exam. Course duration 4+ weeks. Once you have passed the exam you will have a valuable qualification, recognized by more than 7,000 institutions in over 135 countries all over the world.

Private English

from 2 to 30 one-to-one lessons per week (up to 22.5 hours per week)

Private English for 2

A program of any number of private tuition lessons per week

Designed for two students to study together. Students discuss with their tutor which skills they would like to develop and devise their own personalised study plan.

Teacher course CELTA

Full-time intensive course over four weeks (from 08.45-17.30)
  • 120 hours: around 50 hours of input sessions, 6 hours of teaching practice and 6 hours observing experienced and qualified teachers

The CELTA course is designed for people with little or no English teaching experience. Equivalent to IELTS 8 or 9 required.

Teacher course CELTA 2

Part-time course over 20 weeks, once a week on Wednesdays (9.00 -17.00):
  • 120 hours: around 50 hours of input sessions, 6 hours of teaching practice and 6 hours observing experienced and qualified teachers

The CELTA course is designed for people with little or no English teaching experience. Equivalent to IELTS 8 or 9 required.

LAL propose the following types of accomodations

Grosvenor Hall Residence

Single study bedrooms divided into flat. Each flat has two bathrooms and a kitchen providing with self-catering facilities.

Included:

  • Laundry facilities available.
Host home

Carefully selected families, usually less than 45 minutes on foot or by local transport from LAL London, occasionally public transport is required. The family will provide bed linen and assistance with laundry can be offered, but reasonably priced local launderettes are also available nearby.

Note:

  • Bath and beach towels are not normally provided.

 

Onsite Residence Apartment

Same building of the school double or twin rooms, either en-suite or with a shared bathroom .

Included:

  • each room has a TV, free WiFi, no air-condition.
Grosvenor Hall Residence

Only 1 minute from the school, single study bedrooms.
